At Coastway, “Community Involvement” isn’t just a program – it’s an attitude. Community is in our name, it’s in our advertising and it’s in everything we do. We are committed to doing the right things, the right way for the cities and towns we call home.

In 2010, Coastway adopted a more formalized approach to community service, with the goal of reaching 100% employee participation. Coastway reaches out to local charitable organizations to find out what its needs are and how Coastway employees can help meet them. Then each week, we offers specific volunteer opportunities at these organizations to our employees, in order to help them find something that is meaningful to them and fits their schedule. And Coastway allows employees to use their work time as well as their personal time to fulfill their volunteer responsibilities.

In addition, Coastway works with local non-profits and school groups to provide a financial literacy training curriculum, called Dollar Wise, which as been presented to groups such as the Salvation Army and Youth in Action and various Rhode Island schools.
